Volcano Vaporizer FAQ

Q: What is a Volcano?
A: Volcanos are modern tools used to extract essential oils from your favorite aromatherapy materials. These oils -- called aromatic compounds -- are released into the air when the filling chamber reaches the vaporization temperature of your favorite ingredients and blends. The Volcano has such specific heating control, it can leave the fibrous matter in the chamber, and never ignite the ingredients. The result is a smooth, and delicate vapor that contains the very essence of flavor.

Q: What temperature should I set my Volcano to?
A: Most ingredients vaporize essential oils at a range of different temperatures. This is due to the range in size and density of the aromatic compounds before they are released into the air. Check our Common Vaporizer Temperatures page for more information on the perfect temp for your favorite blend.

Q: Solid Valve, Easy Valve, Classic, Digital?... I’m confused!
A: If you are new to vaporization, just call our Vapor Experts customer service line at 888-369-6000 for expert guidance and advice from our trained staff. We will help you find the perfect fit for your needs, and save you time and money off of your Volcano order.

The truth is, it all depends on you.

The Solid Valve is the original balloon vaporization device. It’s been around for over ten years, and it’s still around for a reason. It lets the user choose the size of the vapor balloons, it is easy to break down for cleaning, and is as durable as the Volcano itself.

The Easy Valve was released along with the Volcano Digit. It is a user friendly valve system that simplifies the valve with a threaded chamber cap, and silicone membranes that hold vapor in the balloon until the mouthpiece is engaged.

The Classic is a supremely durable machine. With a 360 degree aluminum case, there’s little chance of damaging internal components during day-to-day impacts. Set it and forget it, the analog keeps the temperature steady until you turn the dial.

The Digit is the king of precision. Measured at less than 1 C of variability, the Digit is well known for versatility and user friendliness. Set the temperature on the digital UI, and watch as the heater climbs. The Digit provides a truly unique experience. The Solid Valve

Q: My Volcano no longer works, what should I do?
A: Visit our Warranty Information section to determine if your purchase falls under the manufacturer’s warranty service. If you are unsure, please call us at 888-369-6000 to find out more information.

Q: How do I change the air filter?
A: to change the air filter, turn off your Volcano and unplug it from the wall outlet. Carefully turn the volcano upside-down and allow it to rest on the ring at the top of its cone. You will see a round cap with spiraling pores. Turn the cap left ¼ turn, and remove the cap. Inside you will see the filter. Try washing the filter before you decide to throw it away. Sometimes they can be cleaned and re-used, but other times they will stay dirty after washing, in which case they should be disposed of.
